Happy 5th Day of Christmas!

My Christmas was really good... it was surprisingly relaxed, which can be an amazing feat considering that my grandparents were here... But I think dinner was a bit more relaxed because I somehow managed to convince my Grandma to have the afternoon off, so she stayed out of the kitchen, allowing my parents (and occasionally me) to prepare things in relative peace.

I looked at infonet this morning and saw that they had updated my marks slightly further! (so now I know 3/6) So here's the run down:

  • Psychology: B -- not as well as I would have liked, however, considering work load and things, it's actually very good!
  • Calculus: A- -- Wow! I was hoping that would get somewhere around here... considering that I left a couple of questions blank on the final (I know, a BAD thing to do!), I am quitely pleased with this
  • Linear Algebra: A (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) -- I am so very, very, very pleased with this mark... I thought that I would have done terribly in this class, but yay! go me! I guess it shows that the attitude of "MATRICES EVERYWHERE!" is a good one to have when taking this class

This leaves the Statics/Dynamics, Properties of Fluids and Solids, and my design class... Hopefully they will update them soon-esque and that they will be okay, (ie be above a B) for if my GPA is over 3.00, depending on how others did, I may get to choose which department I want to enter earlier than others...

Last night there was this thing at Trevor's... it was pretty exciting and funny, however, what spoiled the evening for me was that there was over an hour spent just talking about cell phones and anything related to them, including ringtones, sending messages across the room, calling people across the room, etc. I think it's kind of sad... For many people have fallen into this trap that the companies want people to fall into... They want people to think that cells phones are the most amazing novelty (and keep on coming out with newer, better ones so that this trend continues to happen) so that people keep on buying more and getting new ringtones and things... For it has been in my experience (other than with my dad, who rarely ever uses this cell phone, and I die of shock when he does) that people will become obsessive with their cell phones and forget that there are people around them when the cell phone is there... But I found out that Trevor has a very interesting fan... it's slower if you look at the middle of it than if you look at the outside of the blades spinning.

After Trevor's thing, Ian and I went to Ken's house and played video games... (well Ken and Ian did, while Laurel tried...) I was still feeling quitely blah from this earlier ordeal, so I did not. Plus, my self efficacy when it comes to playing video games is extremely low... I feel badly now, for I was probably not exactly the most exciting person to be in a room with at that moment... alas.

After Ken's house, Ian and I went back to his house (where his parents are not, for they are taking Ian's grandpa back up to his house) where we watched Galaxy Quest... it was quitely an exciting movie... I liked the way these ... people things spoke, walked and clapped.. they were really funny...

Tomorrow I am going to my cabin for a night and Ian is also coming... I am excited... I hope that it actually snowed a bit and is colder out there so that my mum will be able to work on her ice, also known as her "baby". O dear.

I should probably go and do things to start my day, for I think Ian and I will go to the European Delicatessen and maybe go Zoo-lighting tonight... it will be exciting, for the zoolights are always really cool!

Hi Bean!

Nice blog lol...I understand how cell phone conversation excitement would be rather draining...I'm sure the others understood that it wasn't them. And your marks are super amazing (!) I'm sure you will be doing well in the other courses too...a good feeling about them helps too ;-) Take care!
